A Brief Recap Of The Most Relevant Events of 2021

Although many may feel that 2021 was a relatively quiet year. Of course, if we compare it with 2020, nothing compares to it.
However, we may be a little numb to the news, but a lot happened this year.
There are so many, that it is almost certain that something will miss out on this list. Feel free to add events in the comments.
These are the most important events (that I remember) of 2021.
The Siege to Capitol Hill
Some people start to form theories about January being a cursed month. Surreal things always happen on the first of the year.
2021 began with a president hailing electoral fraud and a social media ban. After a speech at the White House, supporters of Donald Trump stormed the United States Capitol while Congress was meeting there.
The COVID-19 Vaccine
Several pharmaceutical companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, and a few others received permits to administer their COVID-19 vaccines in emergency use.
Private Company Space Flights
Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Richard Branson achieved manned space flights in their respective private companies.
These are estimated to be the first steps for the first commercial trips to space.
The Policeman Who Killed Geroge Floyd Sentenced To Prison
Chauvin was sentenced to 22 1/2 years in jail after killing George Floyd in Minneapolis in 2020.
The Tokyo Olympics Held One Year Later
Against all odds and amid a murky political, healthy and social environment, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics took place after being postponed by the pandemic.
Although they were the least tuned Olympics, they had memorable moments like the withdrawal of gymnast Simon Biles for mental health reasons.
Withdrawal of Foreign Troops from Afghanistan
Several explosions took place around the Kabul airport as foreign troops left the country. Dozens of soldiers and civilians were killed in the Taliban attacks while trying to flee.
Coup in Myanmar
The army took control of the country and it was declared in a state of emergency.
The Suez Canal Blockade
The 224,000-ton vessel Ever Given ran aground on the world's most important trafficking route, halting supplies of oil and other resources around the world.
I'm going to stop here because I don't want a 25-minute read piece. I'm sure I've left a lot of things out.
Add in the comments the important events of this year that do not appear in this list.
